Devastation and survival

The church walls had car-sized holes; the pews, the carpet and the clear glass windows were gone.

But, hanging from the ceiling, the Cross with an untouched statue of the risen Christ was still there, as were the stained glass Stations of the Cross.

The Tampa Tribune today tells this amazing “survivor story” with a picture of the interior of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in the town of Pass Christian, Mississippi.
