"In every age..."
"...God raises up men and women who hear and answer the call to religious life. We welcome those who are willing to dedicate themselves to seeking Christ by living a truly common life, and using their talents to draw others to the Lord. If you are willing to commit yourself to life-long conversion, to the Apostolic way of life and to service to others, we welcome your inquiry and will walk with you as you discern God’s will...."
"Norbertines are canons whose tradition attempts to balance contemplation and action. While involved in a variety of ministries, Norbertines share common table, common prayer, common Eucharist. The Order was founded on Christmas Day 1121 by St. Norbert."
"The Rule of St. Augustine and the process of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults provide the framework and inspiration for the Norbertine formation program. After a two year novitiate, the novice professes temporary vows of poverty, consecrated celibacy and obedience for a minimum of three years. The final step that incorporates the religious fully into the community is the profession of solemn vows, by which the religious surrenders himself to the Church of St. Norbert Abbey and vows to live common life.
"In addition, St. Norbert Abbey has a program for Norbertine Associates. The Norbertine Associates are a group of lay people united by their individual and collective longing for lives lived in harmony with Jesus."
