Vaccines

The recent problems with the supply of flu vaccine have led to discussions of new, more efficient ways of producing vaccines.

Current flu vaccines are made using live animal eggs. Vaccine research is studying the use of human cells (among other possibilities).

Sad to say, some brands of vaccines for certain ailments other than influenza actually use cells from aborted human fetuses -- even though alternative methods are available.

Human Life International has been among the organizations seeking to raise awareness of this serious ethical concern.
