A Penitent Blogger

Mindful of my imperfections, seeking to know Truth more deeply and to live Love more fully.

Quid sum miser tunc dicturus? Quem patronum rogaturus? Cum vix iustus sit securus?
Recordare, Iesu pie, Quod sum causa tuae viae: Ne me perdas illa die...

A vocation is not a career

"A vocation is NOT a career, a job, or a profession.

"A vocation is a mystery that often manifests itself through people, circumstances, and events. It can be recognized in some of the following ways:

  • "One is continually attracted to the thought of serving God.
  • "One is drawn to prayer.
  • "One wants to give without counting the cost.
  • "One is committed to Jesus Christ and the Gospel message.

"From all eternity God has specifically chosen those He wants in a special way to be His own....

"Accepting this invitation to become a Bride of Christ demands a total self-surrender to God and to all that He wills for her day by day in her love for Him and for her neighbor.
