Terri Schiavo legislation updates
Father Rob Johansen reports in his blog Thrownback that the U.S. House has passed the Incapacitated Persons Protection Act (designed to give people such as Terri Schiavo and their families better recourse to the Federal courts), but that Senate passage will be difficult.
Father Johansen gives more information in his post and urges everyone to contact their Senators NOW. He provides a link to an Action page by the National Right to Life Committee.
A Penitent Blogger suggests that one may also refer to the U.S. Senate’s own contact information page (pithy, individualized communication by actual constituents is usually the most effective).
Legislation is also being rushed through the Florida State Legislature (here is a AP story on that legislation – hat tip to Kevin Miller at HMS blog). Citizens in the state of Florida can refer to the Florida Legislature’s “Find Your Legislators” page.
(Again, pithy individualized communication by actual constituents is usually the most effective.)
Terri's feeding tube is scheduled to be removed tomorrow.
And don't forget to pray.
