Episcopal Appointments

Among the episcopal appointments announced by the Holy See this morning, the Holy Father has:

• Accepted the retirement of Cardinal Jean-Marie Lustiger, Archbishop of Paris
• Appointed as the new Archbishop of Parish, Archbishop André Vingt-Trois, Archbishop of Tours (he had previously been an Auxiliary Bishop of Paris)
• Appointed as new Auxiliary Bishops of the Archdiocese of Québec, Fathers Pierre-André Fournier and Gilles Lemay, both of whom have been priests of the Archdiocese
