Right and wrong and politics
Some people have built Jefferson’s wall of separation between Church and state into a Maginot Line between politics and morality.
This Maginot Line is a narrow and one-sided barrier: focused entirely on muzzling traditional morality and threatening those who dare espouse it.
No one gets a “pass” on immoral words and actions just because they take place in the political arena.
It is not politics to say something is right or something is wrong. It is not politics for a faith community to say what may not be allowed in its own worship.
"Congress shall make no law
respecting an establishment of religion,
or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;
or abridging the freedom of speech..."
Let the Church speak!
