What's love...

Today’s Gospel boils down our faith to its essence:

“You shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart,
with all your soul,
with all your mind,
and with all your strength.”

“You shall love your neighbor as your self.”


And what is this love?
It is not the Love of the Warm Fuzzies.

No, God himself shows us what love is, what it really is,
and even makes it possible for us to love with real love,
through our Lord Jesus Christ
who died and who rose
and who gives us of his Spirit.

This is love.
“This is our faith.
This is the faith of the Church.
We are proud to profess it in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
