"The loveliness of the LORD"

Beauty captures us:
beauty in creation,
beauty in human beings,
beauty in art.

How much more beautiful God must be:
the One from whom all beauty derives.

Thus says the Psalmist in today’s Responsorial
(Psalm 27:1, 4, 13-14):

One thing I ask of the LORD;
this I seek:
To dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
That I may gaze on the loveliness of the LORD...
