Bishop of Mandeville, Jamaica, resigns
The Holy Father today accepted the resignation of Bishop Gordon Dunlap Bennett, S.J, Bishop of Mandeville, Jamaica, for reasons other than age.
A native of Denver, Colorado, Bishop Bennett, 59, was appointed Bishop of Mandeville just a little over two years ago. He had been ordained an auxiliary bishop in Baltimore in 1998.
