Be afraid, be very afraid - not!

In today’s epistle, St. John has these beautiful words:

“There is no fear in love,
but perfect love drives out fear
because fear has to do with punishment,
and so one who fears is not yet perfect in love.”

The more perfect our loving relationship with God, the more we realize that no matter what terrible things may happen in the world or in our lives, all these things will pass and we have the assurance of perfect safety in the kingdom of his eternal love.

He holds his faithful ones in his arms and will never let us go.
