New bishop

Pope John Paul II has named Msgr. Ronald P. Herzog, a priest of the Diocese of Biloxi and pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Laurel, Mississippi (USA), as bishop of Alexandria, Louisiana. The previous bishop had been transferred to another diocese.
