Eucharistic Congress

A Eucharistic Congress will be held in Washington, DC, September 24-25, 2004, at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. The Congress is free of charge and open to everyone. The theme, Heaven Unites with Earth, highlights the profound mystery of God dwelling among us in the Blessed Sacrament and the unity of the Body of Christ. The event includes the celebration of the Liturgy, catechesis, prayer, Eucharistic adoration, and other activities focusing on the Eucharist.

Keynote Speakers include Cardinal Francis Arinze, the head of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments and Cardinal James Francis Stafford, head of the Vatican Penitentiary office.
